5 Reasons Why Cannabis Beats Alcohol

What’s Healthier? To smoke weed or to drink alcohol!

We tried to investigate it little deeper, this time. The great debate between what’s a healthier vice – weed or alcohol?

It’s a debate that’s gone on for decades and remains unsolved till date. People’s responses to each substance can vary greatly, so what seems safer for one person might not work for someone else. But one thing for sure. We have never heard someone saying “hey, let’s fight” just after taking a bong hit. On the top of that, there have been major reforms in the laws worldwide to allow the use of recreational cannabis in various forms. Despite pf being villainized by the vested interest of alcohol industries. Since our prime purpose here is not revenge, we just want to shed some light on what weed does in reference to what the alcohol has been doing for years.

1. It Shifts Your Perspective

Using cannabis can inevitably relax your mind and body and allow you to see the things and the people around you in a whole new light. After use, you can experience the beauty of life, meditation or your yoga practice through an entirely different lens, while alcohol makes people violent and uncontrollably loud.

2. It Doesn’t Affect Prescription Drugs

There is no need to use the heaviest, high-potency strain, or do large rips, that is if you have someplace to be or have something to do. If it’s a holiday and you have nothing to do, feel free to get high as a kite and just unwind. However, if you want to be productive, it’s to microdose in mornings so you don’t don’t get too baked. Vaporizers and one-hitter are your best bet for a keeping your high in check.

3. It Reduces Nausea

Marijuana can ease nausea and not-so-comfortable tummies. It can provide relief from nausea and vomiting, getting your belly on the road to recovery and even stimulating your appetite. While alcohol directly damages your liver, causes an upset stomach, and gives you a bad hangover too.

4. It’s Used to Help Chemo Patients

Patients recovering from chemotherapy treatment for cancer can use medicinal cannabis to reduce pain and nausea and increase appetite. We really don’t know of any such uses of alcohol. In fact, scientists reported that THC and other cannabinoids such as CBD slow down the growth of certain types of cancer cells growing in lab dishes. Some animal studies also suggest certain cannabinoids may slow growth and reduce spread of some forms of cancer.

5. It Helps You Connect the dots

Marijuana use can have some positive cognitive benefits, particularly an increase in creativity and generating new ideas. Smoking cannabis allows you to think deep & delve deeper into the problem which makes problem-solving easier. It also increases dopamine in your brain and lessens inhibitions, improving your ability to find associations between concepts. While alcohol only lets you to pass off.

The question of whether alcohol or marijuana is worse for health is being debated once again, this time, sparked by the comments section of Thedankville Instagram feeds. Stay tuned because India is at the brink of getting cannabis legalised, Thedankville learnt.
